Motorcycle Sales in July 2025 – A Month of Mixed Signals
The Indian motorcycle market in July 2025 was a tale of two sides. On the one hand, the industry celebrated healthy year-on-year (YoY) growth of 7.68%, showing that demand compared to last year is still strong. On the other, the picture wasn’t as rosy on a month-on-month (MoM) basis, with sales slipping for the third straight month.
- Total Top 10 Motorcycle Sales (July 2025): 7,24,629 units
- Compared to July 2024: 6,72,947 units → +7.68% growth
- Compared to June 2025: 8,39,918 units → –1.15 lakh units decline
This clearly shows that while bikes are still selling well compared to last year, the market is going through a mid-year slowdown, as buyers turn cautious.
Top 10 Motorcycles July 2025 – Who Sold How Much
1. Hero Splendor – 2,46,715 Units
No surprises here! The Hero Splendor continues to be India’s ultimate commuter bike. With 2.46 lakh units sold and 11.73% YoY growth, Splendor alone contributed more than one-third of all motorcycles in the top 10 list. Affordable, reliable, and fuel-efficient – it’s still the “desh ki bike.”

2. Honda Shine – 1,59,658 Units
The Honda Shine kept its No. 2 spot but dipped slightly with a 2.29% decline YoY. What made July exciting though was the leak of the Honda Shine Electric patent image. 3. Bajaj Pulsar – 79,817 Units
The Bajaj Pulsar, once the dream bike for many youngsters, is facing a reality check. Sales dropped by 16.67% YoY, showing that despite having multiple variants and sporty updates, the Pulsar is struggling to keep pace with newer rivals.

The Bajaj Platina stayed stable with just 1.72% growth, but that’s expected – it’s a mileage machine, bought mostly by riders who want practicality and low running costs.
8. Royal Enfield Classic 350 – 26,516 Units
The legendary Royal Enfield Classic 350 is only getting stronger with time. Sales surged 24.06% YoY, proving that retro charm and thumping performance never go out of style.
